Why we are sending this communication
We are providing an update regarding the vote that took place during the Annual Meeting of the Members on March 22, 2025.
What you need to know
A vote was cast on March 22, 2025 to decide if Mirror Lake Property Owners Association should continue with the dispute against the builder regarding community defects.
Per the Florida Homeowners Association Act (Chapter 720), in order to file suit seeking damages in excess of $100,000, a lot owner vote is required. The vote required to authorize suit is a majority of owners present in person or by proxy at an HOA meeting at which a quorum (30% of the membership) is present.
Voting Results: When all the proxies were collected, it was determined that the required amount of membership votes were received for the association to move forward with litigation against the builder for community defects.
What you need to do
No action is required by homeowners at this time, if any action is required at a later date the Association will notify homeowners either in writing or via general announcement to the community and its members.
